Excellence in Community Impact and Service
This award celebrates extraordinary professionals who make a difference in healthcare and medicine through their dedication to their community and to organizations and institutions in the healthcare industry. This professional inspires and motivates others, and works to achieve improved outcomes for everyone. They may or may not have routine contact with patients themselves, but their work helps shape the quality of care provided. A leader in their profession, this healthcare professional pursues opportunities to grow and connect with others throughout their career, is a collaborative partner across disciplines and is an advocate for patients and healthcare providers. Must be an SJNY alumna/us. Must be currently employed in the healthcare field or newly retired (one year out). Should have more than 3 years of service. Distinguished Achievement in Patient Care and Innovation
This award celebrates an extraordinary healthcare provider on the front lines of patient care and interaction. These nominees will exemplify dedication, mission, skill, expertise, and talent. This professional inspires and motivates their colleagues and peers, all while consistently making each patient their priority. Special consideration may be given to nominees who have created new approaches or practices and helped to address or solve chronic and broader challenges in medicine. Must be an SJNY alumna/us. Must be currently employed as a healthcare provider who has daily or regular interaction with patients, or newly retired (one year out). Should have more than 3 years of service in their healthcare field. Recipient is expected to be present at the event to receive an award.
Rising Star Award
This award celebrates new healthcare workers who have been in their field for less than three full years. They will be emerging leaders in medicine who are making a striking impact in the early stages of their career; through effective leadership, innovation in the workplace, collaborative efforts and a creative approach that puts the patient first while striving to address larger challenges. Please note, there may be multiple award winners for this category. Must be an SJNY alumna/us. Must be currently employed as a healthcare provider, administrator or allied personnel and have been working for less than 3 full years. Recipients are expected to be present at the event to receive an award.
