Stony Brook Medicine is one of the largest orthopaedic groups in Suffolk County, New York. The providers of Stony Brook Orthopaedic Associates focus on excellence in clinical care and research for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of all musculoskeletal injuries and disorders in adults and children.
Dr. Stuart Cherney, Dr. Brian Cruickshank, and Dr. Kristin Hopkins have been working directly with St. Joseph’s University student-athletes for the past several years, acting as team physicians to the athletic program. These individuals provide assistance with pre-season screenings, in-office and on-campus appointments, and sideline coverage of home games. Specifically, Dr. Cherney has been involved in the care of our athletes for over 20 years, helping many student-athletes through the years.
